GATE dashboard

Using GATE

Microsoft 365

GATE connects Microsoft 365 through two read-only integrations: Outlook for mail, calendar, contacts, and attachments; and OneDrive for files, including SharePoint document libraries your account can reach.

One Microsoft sign-in covers both services. You connect the account once in the dashboard, then delegate it to the bots that should use it. The OAuth tokens stay inside GATE's integration provider; GATE stores only the connection pointer, and the bot never receives the token.

Outlook

Your bot can browse mail folders, list and search messages, read a full message, list attachments, download an attachment, read upcoming calendar events, and list contacts.

Outlook is read-only today. The bot cannot send or reply, move or archive mail, delete anything, or change your calendar or contacts.

Ask: "Find the latest email from Acme and summarize it," or "What meetings do I have tomorrow?"

OneDrive and SharePoint

Your bot can list the drives your account can reach, find files or folders by name, show recent or shared items, inspect file metadata, and download a file. SharePoint document libraries appear as drives, so the same read path covers files shared through SharePoint.

OneDrive is also read-only today. There is no upload, folder creation, move, trash, or permanent delete.

Ask: "Find Budget.xlsx in OneDrive," or "Download the latest board pack from the shared finance library."

Connect and delegate

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Settings → Integrations → Microsoft 365.
  2. Connect your Microsoft account and complete the provider's consent screen.
  3. Delegate the connection to each bot that should be allowed to read it.
  4. Ask the bot which Microsoft accounts it can see. If your account appears, both Outlook and OneDrive are ready.

If the connection expires or is revoked, reconnect it from the same dashboard page. Delegating again does not repair an expired provider token.

See Connect your accounts for the shared connect-then-delegate model and the Integrations matrix for the full read/write breakdown.
